Jack Hughes visits Mount Barney
A super popular destination for bushwalkers and campers, Mount Barney is the one of the highest mountains in Queensland and is often said to be one of the most impressive parts of the Scenic Rim. So it comes as no surprise that avid adventurer and photographer, Jack Hughes, was keen to explore this rugged, beautiful part of Australia.

We caught up with Jack to hear about his travels, his passion for photography and his love of great shoes!
What has influenced you to be passionate about travel and adventure?
I’ve always been inspired by the natural beauty of the world around us. Getting out of the daily 9-5 grind and exploring what nature has to offer is what got me so passionate about photography. Photography gives me a chance to share how I see this beautiful world with others! It is a way to break free from the ordinary and to see the magic around us!
Out of all the places you’ve visited, where has been your favourite location and why?
Visiting Great Ocean Road and specifically The Razorback Lookout at sunrise is one of my best memories of travelling. After getting out early on a freezing cold winters morning I was rewarded with the most breathtaking sunrise I have ever seen.
It’s easy to forget sometimes how beautiful your own backyard is and that you don’t have to search high and low for breathtaking places. You just have to look around you.
What do you love most about your Wild Rhino shoes?
